Appostrophe is a Stockholm-based indie developer of popular mobile applications. We develop our own products—mainly utility and photo editing apps for iOS—and distribute them across millions of users. As a small, self-funded team, we are able to move fast and in the direction we find most promising. With multiple top-listed, fast-growing apps in our portfolio (and more to come!) we're looking to grow our team.

The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic addition to our small team that wants to join us in building great apps. You will be working in Swift on developing features for existing apps and creating new ones from start to finish. The role includes a lot of product planning and you will be responsible for creating product roadmaps and implementation plans—with focus on both code quality and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing features and apps used by millions
• Planning and developing large codebases and software architectures
• Iterating and constantly improving user experiences and codebases
• Creating and improving cross-app libraries to improve our productivity and workflow
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the iOS ecosystem (developer tools, new iOS APIs, market trends)
• Testing and quality assurance with a large focus on the end user experience

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with developing and shipping user-facing products (preferably iOS apps)
• Ability to write well-structured code and plan larger features
• Ability to identify issues and work through them
• Good communication skills and a high desire to learn new things
• An eye for detail and understanding of user experiences in mobile apps

About Appostrophe

Appostrophe was incorporated in 2016, but our experience on the App Store dates all the way back to 2009 when we released our very first iOS app. Since then, we've developed countless apps across all categories. Our latest focus is utility and photo editing apps, but we're constantly exploring opportunities in other exciting fields as well. We're a small team of highly motivated people, determined to create great products. We're business-oriented and pursue ideas with potential for high growth and massive scale. We're also completely self-funded, granting us the freedom to work on whatever we see most potential in.
